Harvey and the Circulation of the Blood

The claim set up on behalf of Father Paul to the honour of Harvey's discovery, which is noticed by your correspondent W.W.B., is satisfactorily disposed of in the life of Harvey in the *Biographia Britannica*, iv. 2548., note C. Harvey gave a copy of his treatise *De Motu Cordis* to the Venetian ambassador in England. On his return home the ambassador lent the book to Father Paul, who made some extracts from it.
