Merrick and Tattersall

Will any of your correspondents be so obliging as to give the years of *birth* of Merrick, the poet and versifier of the Psalms, and of his biographer, Tattersall. The years of their *deaths* are given respectively 1769 and 1829: but I can nowhere find when they were born. [Merrick was born in 1720, and Tattersall in 1752.]
