When did Mr. Adams, the accomplished author of the *Sacred Allegories*, die? This is unaccountably omitted in the "Memoir" prefixed to the collected edition of his *Allegories* (London, Rivingtons, 1849). Can any characteristic anecdote be related of him, suitable for giving *point* to a sketch of his life for foreign readers?
