Sir Walter de Bitton

Sir Walter de Bitton is said by Burke in his *Commoners*, vol. iv. p. 120., to have been knighted by Henry III. I shall be much obliged to any gentleman who may be able to give a reference to authority for such a fact, or to any notices respecting the said Sir Walter. The date of his death is given 1227.
